Stories that we tell ourselves and how these stories become the truth.
I visit the site for the Battle of Hastings but not in Battle, the accepted site, again I’m on a ramble, I visit a 2000 year old Yew tree which potentially is at the site of the real battle in a village called Crowhurst in Sussex and we look at how stories, however true or false become the things that influence our lives.
In my rambling I asked the question, how do we square up Christianity and waging war?
I’ll tell the story of my father and his family which is a good example of someone living a story that unfolds in the landscape of the walk.
