What is your problem?
If the problem is big enough and the solution good enough then you
have the potential for starting a successful business.
This was the point raised in an interview on the podcast with
Brett Slazenger the guy who set up the very successful Drum Café,
however we artistic people tend to start from another place.
In my lectures to musicians at the RGT conferences I would say that
we start from the viewpoint of a hobby and then we try to make a
business from that, unfortunately we often end up making the
decisions of a hobbyist and not an entrepreneur. I think it’s very
important for us to get this into our mind if are aiming to make
money, we need to think like an entrepreneur, and see opportunities
which are solutions.
In the solo show I go into this idea for the artistic
business.
