Sally Maynard the importance of teaching of languages in schools
I am talking to Sally Maynard about the teaching of languages in UK schools and the problems that are inherent in the education system and society in general regarding teaching and learning of foreign languages.
This has many parallels to the position of the arts in education and I certainly learnt something from this conversation.
Sally is an Educational Lecturer at Coventry University and has been Head of International Development and Senior Lecturer at York.
